Legal Translations

Needless to say, it is crucial to have legal documents translated professionally, since an incorrect translation can lead to extremely serious consequences. As professionals, we must bare mind that legal texts are different from any other given the fact that such texts are protected by national as well as international laws. That is why, even the slightest mistake could lead to judgement that adversely affect individuals as well as national security, diplomatic relations etc.

The legal system of countries varies from each other. Laws and codes of a country are defined and devised keeping in mind the cultural attitudes of its citizens and are therefore personalized according to that country. Legal terminology is vast and complex with certain terms that exist in one language not being present in another language; in such cases, the person doing the legal translation has to come up with an equivalent to describe the procedure and meaning of the legal term, without changing the original meaning of the legal document.

What are the consequences of not hiring a professional legal translator? Inaccurate evidence, leading to wrongful convictions, reputations, finance – even lives.

The solution? - leave your message in the hands of a professional legal translator.

Medical translations

Similar to the legal area, the medical field has its own terminology and accuracy, and if one is not well-acquainted with such, serious consequences might happen to patients. In the medical industry, our professionalism as translators and language communicators must remain intact. A medical translator should have excellent knowledge of their working language pairs, a deeper understanding of the differences in culture of various countries. Likewise, knowledge of physiology and anatomy as well as knowledge of medical terms and meaning is of ultimate importance. Medical translators must fully understand ethical issues and many concepts of health care. All these skills must complement each other, otherwise unclear communication might put the patient’s lives at risk.

Do not put your patients' lives at risk or damage your company's reputation - hire a professional translator.

Audiovisual translations

Even though the audiovisual field is far different from medical and legal areas since it does not have its own specific terminology, this area is characterized by presenting several requirements to be followed. For instance, number of characters per seconds (CPS) and characters per line (CPL), balanced sentences, specific typographical rules, synchronization between subtitles and audio, among others. In addition to this, a competent subtitler should not only translate ideas but also localize them so as to reduce as much as possible the loss of meaning between cultures. Needless to say, this audiovisual area is likely to include idiomatic expressions, punnings, humor, irony and so on that should be reflected in the target language.

If you are looking for a culturally well-adapted and syncronized video, you are in the right place.

WORDS HAVE POWER.

TRANSLATORS CHOOSE THEM WELL.
